I first met you, Kitap Evi, years ago!
My dear friends from Bursa had brought me to you for the first time, saying, "You love places like this."
Years passed, and during a business trip, I wondered—were you still standing as beautifully as before, Kitap Evi? But this time, I had no guide. I wandered for hours until I finally found you. You had changed. You were no longer just a bookshop but had become a boutique hotel. For a moment, I felt disappointed, saddened by the thought that you had been altered… But then, your warm and friendly companions introduced me to your new form, and once again, you surprised me.
A few years later, because you held a special place in my heart, I wanted to experience you on my own. I came to Bursa just to be with you—to spend a night with you. Tonight, from this Cumbalı Room, you told me about Bursa. You described the Kızık Beys and Kızık settlements through your books. I had loved you from the moment I first saw you, but now I am truly in love.
A heartfelt thank you to Dilek Hanım for bringing this beauty to life, and to all those who have nurtured it alongside you.
